More than a logo on a football shirt

Sparrow Construction is proud to have become a Major Strategic Partner of Kettering Town FC and the club’s away shirt sponsor for the next two seasons.

For us, this partnership is about considerably more than placing our name on a shirt. It is an opportunity to support a local football club with real ambition, contribute to its progress and build a relationship that delivers value both on and off the pitch.

As a family-run business with strong roots in Kettering, we understand the importance of supporting the people, organisations and communities around us. We also believe that the best partnerships are built through trust, clear communication and a shared commitment to long-term progress.

Those principles guide the way we work with our construction clients and partners, and they are equally important in our relationship with Kettering Town FC.

Why Kettering Town FC?

Our early conversations with George and the team at Kettering Town FC made a strong impression on us.

There was a clear sense of ambition around the club and a genuine desire to build something sustainable for the future. The discussions were open, positive and focused on what could be achieved through a proper working partnership.

That mattered to us.

Sparrow is continuing to grow, but growth alone is not enough. We want to build the business in the right way, working with people and organisations that share our belief in strong relationships, accountability and continuous improvement.

Kettering Town FC is an important part of the local community. It brings together supporters, volunteers, local businesses and families who care about the club and want to see it succeed.

Becoming part of that journey felt like the right decision for Sparrow.

A practical partnership

Good partnerships should create something useful. They should not exist simply for publicity.

Alongside sponsoring the club’s away shirts for the next two seasons, Sparrow will support Club1872 and help with improvements and projects around the football club. The partnership also includes The Sparrow Construction Club1872 Lounge, matchday experiences, stadium branding and involvement in wider club activities.

This gives us the opportunity to contribute in a practical way while helping the club create positive experiences for its supporters, commercial partners and visitors.

It also allows Sparrow to build stronger relationships with other businesses connected to the club. Football creates a natural meeting place for people from different industries and backgrounds, and we see real value in bringing clients, partners and local businesses together in that environment.

This does not mean turning every matchday into a sales exercise. It means supporting the club properly, meeting people, having genuine conversations and allowing stronger commercial relationships to develop naturally.

Shared ambition and long-term thinking

Construction and football may appear to be very different industries, but successful teams in both environments depend on many of the same principles.

Clear responsibilities matter. Communication matters. Preparation matters. Every person must understand their role, and the whole team must remain focused on the final result.

At Sparrow Construction, we deliver commercial façade packages through three flexible service levels: Installation Only, Installation and Management, and a Full Package covering design, supply, installation and management.

Our work includes commercial windows, doors, curtain walling, cladding, glazing, internal glazed partitions, internal doors, fire-rated systems and remedial works.

These projects often involve demanding programmes, multiple stakeholders and detailed coordination between design, manufacturing, site management and installation teams. Successful delivery depends on people working together, addressing problems early and taking responsibility for the outcome.

We recognise the same importance of teamwork, commitment and consistency in a football club. Progress is rarely created by one person or one decision. It comes from getting the right people behind a shared objective and continuing to move forward together.

That long-term approach is one of the main reasons this partnership makes sense.

Supporting the place we call home

Sparrow works on commercial projects across the UK, but Kettering remains our home.

As the company grows, we believe our involvement in the local community should grow with it. Supporting Kettering Town FC gives us an opportunity to contribute to an organisation that matters to many people across the town and the surrounding area.

Local football clubs offer much more than the results seen on a Saturday afternoon.

They create a sense of identity, bring generations together and provide a place where people and businesses can form lasting connections.

Their progress depends on supporters, volunteers and commercial partners all playing their part.

We are proud to be one of those partners.

What we want the partnership to achieve

Our immediate objective is simple: to support Kettering Town FC and help the club continue moving in a positive direction.

Over the course of the partnership, we also want to create stronger connections between Sparrow, the club, its supporters and the wider local business community.

This will include promoting the club through our own channels, supporting agreed projects and activities, and using matchday experiences to bring together people who may benefit from knowing one another.

We want our involvement to be visible, but it must also be meaningful. The success of the partnership will not be measured only by how often the Sparrow name is seen. It will be measured by the relationships created, the activities supported and the positive contribution made to the club.

We will share updates as the partnership develops, including agreed improvements, matchday activity and other work taking place around Kettering Town FC.

Looking ahead

This is the beginning of what we hope will become a strong and lasting relationship.

We are excited to see the Sparrow Construction name on the Kettering Town FC away shirt, but we are even more excited about what can be built around the partnership.

Thank you to George, the committee and everyone at Kettering Town FC for the positive welcome. We look forward to supporting the club, meeting more of its supporters and commercial partners, and playing our part in the journey ahead.
